Bluegrass Song Books

  1. Bluegrass Fake Book (great starting place for learning songs; many jammers have this book)
  2. Bluegrass Song Book (by Pete Wernick; contains a number of songs not covered in the Fake Book, and often includes additional verses and interesting background on song origins and recordings)
  3. Parking Lot Picker’s Songbook (available for individual instruments; great supplement to books note above, and includes old-time, country and gospel standards; comes spiral bound)
  4. Tip! If you get either of the first two books noted above, take it to your local print shop and get it spiral bound. this will make it much easier for using on your music stand.
